Rodney P. Santos Scholarship
Rodney P. Santos, retired educator and founding member and former
President of the Colleges of Arts and Sciences Alumni Association
(CASAA), established a scholarship fund to encourage undergraduate
students in their pursuit of a liberal arts education. Up to five
(5) students will receive cash awards of $1,000 each to assist them
with their education expenses.
CASAA was established in 1993 to “serve as a valuable link
between the Colleges and the community in promoting awareness and
appreciation of, and pride in, the lifetime value of a liberal education
obtained from the University of Hawai`i at Manoa.”
To be eligible for the Rodney P. Santos Scholarship, a student must
be a graduate of a Hawai'i high school; be a full-time junior or
senior at UH Manoa with a declared Arts and Sciences major; have
a cumulative grade-point average of at least 2.5; have some degree
of financial need; and have already received or intend to receive
50% of the undergraduate degree requirements from UH Manoa.
