Arts & Sciences Student Research Awards

The mission of the Arts and Sciences Advisory Council is to support the colleges in their efforts to provide students an excellent liberal arts education.  These awards were established to help fund special scholarly activities of significant educational value not available through regular coursework.  An Arts and Sciences student (upper division undergraduate with a declared major; classified graduate student accepted into a degree program) may apply for funds for an activity he/she individually initiates and will carry out before completion of his/her intended degree.  The application must show how the student will benefit from the activity and that he/she is well qualified to carry it out successfully.  Amount and number of awards vary:  maximum award is $2,500 for an undergraduate student; $3,000 for a graduate student.

The 2012 Arts & Sciences Student Research Awards is now closed, please check back later for availability.  Click on the link for a sample of the application form.
